Are you stressed out? Find out Now!
This article will talk about stress and anxiety management from home, which will have a spillover effect at the office. In order to implement a good stress and anxiety management system/ program a person will need to know whether they are suffering from stress or not. The following checklist will help you come to a decision.
1. Communication skills - Do you find yourself unable to communicate with your family? Is it that every time you talk to your spouse or children, you tend to be rude and irritated? Are you particularly short tempered when you are asked to do something about the house? If so, then, you are stressed.
2. Sleeping patterns - An adult needs to sleep any where between 4 and 8 hours every day depending on the personal make up. You will know you are sleeping well, when you can get up in the morning without any problem and feel fresh. Now, if you find that you cannot sleep enough, or that you are sleeping too much, then it is a sign that you are stressed.
3. Eating habits - Are you hungry as you should be? Do you have a healthy appetite at the right time for your meals, or do you feel nauseous when you see or think about food. In fact both signs, i.e. if you are always hungry or if you simply cannot stand the sight of food - both are indicative of high stress levels.
4. Worry pattern - It is healthy to worry sometimes, e.g. - when your dear one(s) does not come home in time. However, if you find yourself worrying for every trivial thing around you, then you are suffering from stress.
5. Biological changes - At about 45 years of age, both men and women go into menopausal/ andropausal (for men) phase which can create havoc with hormone levels in the blood, and hence stress levels.
Look at the above five reasons for stress - and find out whether you are suffering from stress. There is a good chance that you would, given today's statistics, be suffering from stress. Once you have diagnosed it, a good stress and anxiety management system put in place can make a lot of difference. When choosing the right stress and anxiety management program, keep in mind the chief causes for your stress.
